Ildaura Murillo Rohde was born in Puerto Rico in 1965. She received her medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in 1992. She completed her residency in family medicine at the University of Puerto Rico Medical Center in 1996.

Dr. Murillo Rohde was born and raised in Puerto Rico. Dr. Ildaura Murillo Rohde is a Guatemalan doctor who has worked extensively in public health, both in her home country and internationally. She is currently the Director of the National Institute of Public Health of Guatemala (INSP). And has served in this role since 2016. Prior to her current position, Rohde worked as the Director of Health for the Municipality of Guatemala City, where she oversaw the implementation of the city’s health care system. She has also worked as a doctor in various rural areas of Guatemala, providing medical care to underserved populations.
Rohde’s work in Guatemala has focused on improving access to quality healthcare, particularly for marginalized populations. She has worked to strengthen the country’s primary health care system and to improve the quality of care provided. She has also been involved in efforts to address the high rates of maternal and child mortality in Guatemala. In addition to her work in Guatemala, Rohde has also worked on health projects in other countries in Central America and the Caribbean.
